Martina Austin Spetlova is a lecturer and fashion designer with ten years of experience in the industry. Since graduating from Central Saint Martins Fashion Masters, Martina has been running her own ethical fashion and accessories label MWOVEN, with a strong focus on sustainability, craftsmanship and innovation as well as consulting for other luxury brands. She has been awarded a number of accolades such as Chloe textile award, Leatherseller’s award and Selfridges’ Bright New Things. Last year Martina was selected by The Cambridge University Institute for Sustainable Leadership for an Innovation program for her work with new technologies such a blockchain and their application within the fashion industry.
Martina also has a significant amount of experience working with NGO’s and women artisan organisations and has been involved in several projects with an aim to empower women through craft. She is frequently invited as a guest speaker for talks on sustainability, blockchain and how to run an ethical luxury fashion brand.
